Assoc Prof. Dr. Weijia Han is an accomplished researcher in physics, materials science, and microelectronics, currently serving as a Lecturer at the School of Microelectronics, Wuhan Textile University, China. He has developed a strong international academic background through his roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental Physics and Functional Materials at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Germany, a Guest Scientist at the Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics in Frankfurt (Oder), and a Research Associate at Osnabrück University as well as the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Osnabrück University, a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Xiangtan University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Huanggang Normal University. His research focuses on plasmonic and photonic nanostructures, including plasmonic titanium nitride nanohole arrays, metamaterial narrowband absorbers, graphene-based composites, and insect-inspired nanostamping technologies. His work spans design, simulation, nanofabrication, and extensive optical and structural characterization, using tools such as electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Raman imaging, X-ray diffraction, FTIR, spectroscopy, and advanced photocurrent measurement systems. He has contributed significantly to several national and international projects involving on-chip optical sensors, CMOS-compatible plasmonic devices, and refractive-index sensor engineering. Dr. Youngjoo Kwon is a highly accomplished professor in the College of Pharmacy and Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Ewha Womans University, where she has held influential leadership roles including Director of the Ewha Drug Development Research Core Center, Chair of the Graduate School, and Director of a major convergence education program. After completing her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Houston and postdoctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine, she established a research laboratory that integrates advanced analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and NMR with computational modeling and diverse biochemical, molecular, and cellular biology platforms. Her interdisciplinary research spans metabolite profiling of endogenous and xenobiotic compounds, development of isozyme-selective enzyme inhibitors, and elucidation of the non-canonical cytosolic functions of the transcription factor ELF3/ESX, particularly its interaction with MED23 in driving metastasis and drug resistance in various cancers. Additionally, her laboratory develops and evaluates small-molecule modulators against challenging disease targets related to cancer, fibrosis, and neurodegeneration. Over her prolific scientific career, Dr. Kwon has published more than 175 peer-reviewed documents, accumulated over 5,053 citations, and achieved an h-index of 35, underscoring both the breadth and lasting impact of her contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and biomedical research. Her work has appeared in leading journals and has resulted in patents and successful licensing initiatives, demonstrating strong translational value. Dr. Kwon’s achievements have earned her numerous honors from major scientific societies, including awards from the Korean Society of Applied Pharmacology, the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea, and a ministerial award from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Mr. Deepak Kumar is a dedicated engineer-researcher driving frontier work in fluid mechanics, multiphase flows, atomization, and energy sustainability. He completed his B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering from Gautam Buddha Technical University, followed by an M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and is nearing completion of his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur, where he has built a strong academic and experimental foundation. His industry-relevant research spans primary breakup of jets in cross-flow and swirling air, twin-fluid injectors for fluidized bed catalytic cracking risers sponsored by HPCL, throttleable rocket injectors developed for ISRO, and urea-deposition and thermal-decomposition studies for SCR after-treatment systems sponsored by Cummins. Before entering academia, he served as Senior Project Associate and Project Engineer at IIT Kanpur and is currently a faculty member at VIT University, Bhopal. He is proficient in advanced experimental diagnostics such as LDV/PDPA, PIV, high-speed imaging, 3D hot-wire anemometry, and sensor-based DAQ systems, and is skilled in software tools like LabView, TecPlot 360, ANSYS Workbench, and ICEM-CFD, along with programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, and Python. His research output includes multiple peer-reviewed journal papers and numerous international conference presentations, recognized with a Best Paper Award for his work on twin-fluid injectors for modern FCC systems.
